Anorexia and bulimia are diseases in which a woman has an unrealistic self image. She is obsessed with her weight and every ounce of food that is consumed. The difference is that an a person with anorexia will force her/him self to not consume any food at all, and a person with bulimia will eat large quantities of food and then purge or throw up the food which was consumed. Many times, in the worst cases the anorexic or bulimic person may end up with serious, life long health problems, however, hair loss is not one of them. When the person suffering from anorexia or bulimia begins to consume more proteins and is getting adequate nutrition, their hair will begin to return to normal. Short Hairstyles

Anagen is the next phase that the hair will go through. When in the telogen phase, the hair that is not able to grow anymore will fall out. The rest will move into the anagen phase, which is also known as the active stage. During this stage, the roots of the hair will begin to produce and divide cells. This will then produce a new hair that will push through the open follicles in the scalp. Usually, this type of hair will stay active for two to six years. If you have hair that doesn’t grow long, it is because the anagen has a shorter active phase. If you are losing hair or going bald, it means that the anagen phase is not as active as it used to be. By knowing this, you will be able to properly respond to the hair growth cycle in order to give your hair the boost that it needs to become more active. Understanding the hair growth cycle is an easy way to know how your hair should be taken care of and what is happening with the different areas of your scalp. After this, you can properly treat it in order to prevent hair loss from occurring. Medium Hairstyles

In order to qualify for weight loss surgery, a patient should be considered morbidly obese. Sometimes severely obese people are considered for this surgery if they present health issues. A patient with a body mass index of 25 to 29.9 is considered overweight. Those with a body mass index of 30 to 34.9 are considered obese. A severely obese patient is one with a body mass index of 35 to 39.9. A morbidly obese patient will have a body mass index of 40 and over. Another common measurement of obesity is the waist circumference test. This measurement is often used in conjunction with other measurements and methods. Along with the body mass index chart, this is usually an accurate measurement of obesity. A man with a waist greater than 40 and a woman with a waist great than 35 show an increase risk for obesity. Doctors often use combined methods to measure obesity. Causes Of Obesity

If you can build a signal fire, the smoke can be seen for miles around the desert. Don’t ration your water. Thirst is a sign of dehydration. Getting rest can often help alleviate the anguish associated with depression, anger and other powerful states. Also, the patient should seek to stay busy, avoiding having many hours of unstructured time in their schedule. These moments alone can often trigger a relapse of some kind of emotional eating. Dieting should be avoided. The idea of deprivation can also trigger emotional eating patterns. Bulemia

TCM is an example of alternative medicine. TCM, short for Traditional Chinese Medicine, is a broad term for therapies which include massage, diet therapy, herbalism and acupuncture. TCM is based on the philosophy that having good health revolves around the correct flow of “chi” which is the energy of the body. The way this “chi” works is that it flows through our bodies in channels, known as “meridians”. These meridians in turn contain hundreds of points which link the differents organs and functions of the body together. Dr. Monika Schiffer

The pH diet is an innovative way to interact with food. The diet stresses the need for balance in the diet of alkaline and acid. This balance will help maintain a healthy flow through the bloodstream and keep cellular growth and development working at optimum levels. By lowering destructive acid levels with more alkaline a host of benefits can result, namely sustainable energy and good health. By following a simple regimen of balanced eating along with testing saliva for pH levels, one can achieve better health. The primary proponent of this alkaline diet is a man by the name of Dr. Robert Young. Diverticulitis Diet

Although they have almost the same characteristics, Asperger’s Disorder is comparably the less severe form of autism. This severity in the symptoms is mainly highlighted by the absence of language delays because children who are suffering for the illness are slightly affected when it comes to their communication skills. More often than not, these kids do have good language and cognitive skills. The disorder-that is also distinguished by the same kind of abnormalities of correlative social interaction like in autism-also embodies a restricted, conventional, incessant repertoire of activities and interests. But, unlike people who suffer from Autism, the people who are suffering from Asperger’s Syndrome do not experience a delay in cognitive development or retardation in language. And unlike autism, most individuals are of normal general intelligence. But since they are suffering from a neurological disorder, they exude extreme clumsiness. Unlike autistic children that are perceived as indifferent, children with Asperger’s are more than willing to fit and mingle-only, they just do not know how. Since they are clueless on how to interact with others, they are seen as socially awkward individuals that do not have the grasp of social norms. Due to absence of empathy, these people usually may have limited eye contact, seemingly not attentive in a conversation, and do not know how to use gestures. Bells Palsy

These can easily be transmitted to your baby during pregnancy and cause for problems later with both you and your child. It is important to get regular check-ups and try to maintain your health with different infections that may occur. One of the important things to look into with pregnancy is the effect of different types of substances that move into your body. This includes alcohol and smoking as well as other types of drugs in particular. There are particular types of prescribed drugs that are healthy for you and your baby, however, you should always look into options and know what to take from your physician. Early Pregnancy Symptoms

One of the reasons that it is hard for Westerners to accept that acupuncture works is that the there is as much philosophy behind it as medical proof. The Chinese believe that the way to heal the body is to help it find a balance. They believe that if the body and the mind are not in balance that this is when illness can succeed. They include illnesses of the body and emotional illness like depression. Studies have shown that acupuncture seems to work for dispelling depression or at least diminishing it. Some physicians will recommend it for their patients who suffer only mild to moderately. Others think it works well for those who can trace their depressive episodes directly to stress. Still other health care providers will cautiously suggest its use but only if the patient continues on whatever medications they have been using. Homöopathie

The practice of modern medicine revolves around diagnosing an illness and prescribing treatments for such. Natural medicine is helpful because it suggests that treatment be not necessarily given only when sick. Natural medicine strives to make each patient practice good health habits. These habits include good diet, healthy living, and the regular natural treatment. It is this same line of thought that leads our parents to tell us to eat our vegetables. Yes, a healthy lifestyle and will do no harm to our well-being. And this is the foundation of natural medicine – may it be massage, herbal medicine, aromatherapy or others. Dr. Monika Schiffer

As your newborn baby grows, it is slowly acclimating to sleeping at night and being awake during the day. Also, as baby’s stomach is growing and holding more breast milk or formula, it will be able to go for longer periods between feedings at night. At approximately three months of age your baby will likely sleep about 15 hours out of each 24-hour period, and two thirds of that sleep will take place during the night. Most babies will have settled into a daily sleep routine of two or three sleep periods during the day, followed by “sleeping through the night” for 6 to 7 hours after a late-night feeding. You can help adjust your baby’s body clock toward sleeping at night by avoiding stimulation during nighttime feedings and diaper changes. The act of breastfeeding itself provides frequent eye and voice contact, so try to keep the lights low and resist the urge to play or talk with your baby. Cute Baby Names

It would help to only try those remedies which have been thoroughly studied and are relatively risk free. Take herbal medicine for example. There are many well-documented and studied herbal remedies available. However, only those that deal with minor ailments such as cough, colds, fever, skin rashes, and its ilk are likely to be recommended by health professionals. These remedies are sometimes superior to synthetic medicine. This is because herbal medicines are less likely to cause negative side effects. Akupunktur

If anyone were to give you herbs for medicine, you would probably say that that person was a quack. But nowadays, studies are being conducted to see if there are really is any merit to what is called natural medicine. Natural medicine is the use of natural methods, herbal medicines, and traditional practices to heal ailments. Every culture has a form of natural medicine. In ancient cultures, village medicine men served as the doctors of the community, passing on medical knowledge to the apprentices that followed them. Homöopathie

In a common dilution of 1:100, one drop of the homeopathic substance is added to 99 drops of water and/or alcohol. The mixture is then potentized by a process called “succussion” - repeated tapping on a hard surface for a specific length of time. Remedies may be diluted up to 1000 times, leaving only an infinitesimal trace of the substance. Remedies are typically diluted 10, 100, or 1,000 times, which translate into potencies that are marked with the Roman numerals X, C, and M. Homeopathic remedies range from 6X as the lowest potency to 1M or more as the highest potency. Dr. Monika Schiffer

It cannot be emphasized enough- bed wetting is an unfortunate set of circumstances that often starts for no obvious reason but also ends all of the sudden with little if any outside intervention needed. Research studies have shown that in any given year approximately fifteen out of one hundred children just stop wetting their beds without the need for treatment or even a visit to the doctor. However in most cases it probably is a good idea to talk openly and honestly with your parents about this problem and then to go see your doctor just so he can help put your mind at ease and also rule out any physical problems such as a urinary tract infection or constipation. Bedwetting

Finally, make sure you are drinking enough water each day. Water has a myriad of benefits for every human being, not just those on the Atkins diet. Thirst can sometimes be masked as hunger, so staying well hydrated will keep you from craving foods you shouldn’t be eating. Water also helps you avoid constipation, which is an occasional side effect of the Atkins diet. Drinking 8 eight ounce glasses of water per day will also help you flush out the toxins from your system that are produced when you burn fat. These common mistakes can make people frustrated with the Atkins diet when there is no need to be. If you are just starting out on the diet, make sure to prepare yourself for these mistakes. If you’ve been on the diet for some time, evaluate your eating habits and make sure you are following the program correctly. Atkins diet plan
