Marine phytoplankton or “Mother Earth’s Milk” provide the food supply for the biggest animals and fish in the entire world. They also happen to be the species that live the longest. These species include many types of whales- baleen whales, blue whales, bowhead whales, humpback whales, gray whales and right whales. All these animals feast on marine phytoplankton on a regular basis. These whales’ live long durations (in the area of eighty to one hundred fifty years) and they exhibit both tremendous endurance and strength. To use an example, a whale shark which eats plankton as a consistent part of its diet can grow as long as fourteen meters. It can also reach a weight of up to fifteen tones and it remains sexually active for the entire duration of its life. As well the whale shark can live upwards of one hundred fifty years and more. Its ability to make oxygen is well known. However marine phytoplankton is prohibited from being harvested directly from the ocean because international treaties protect it because it is the only regular source of food for a great many kinds of whales. Without it whales would become extinct. Acne Cures
